Seven Cherokee Firefighters Promoted

Seven Cherokee County firefighters were promoted during ceremonies July 31 at Station 23, located on Vaughn Road, in Hickory Flat.

Chuck Foster was promoted to the rank of Captain. Keith Plott, Gerald Richmond and Keith Berryman were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Brett Boyle, Nathan Roper and Babette Davis were promoted to the rank of Sergeant. 

Captain Chuck Foster came to work for the fire department in 1995.  He was promoted to sergeant in 2001 and lieutenant in 2003. 

Lt. Berryman was hired in 1998 and promoted to sergeant in 2002. 

Lt. Richmond’s employment with department began in 1999 and he was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2004.

Lt. Plott’s career with the fire department began in 2000 and he was promoted to sergeant in 2003.

Sgt. Boyle and Sgt. Roper began their careers with Cherokee County fire in 2005.

Babette Davis was hired in 1998.  She is currently a fire educator.
