A July undercover operation at Canton Sports Bar netted the arrests of 17 individuals at the Marietta Road establishment, according to the Canton Police Department.

Among those arrested by Canton Police were the owners of the sports bar, Ye Soon Kim and Hee Y. Kim. The bar is located at 290 Marietta St., alongside the railroad near downtown Canton.

The undercover operation conducted July 12 and July 26 resulted in the arrests on several charges in connection with alcohol violations, said Cpl. Stacy Bailey, public information officer for the Canton Police Department.

Suspected cocaine was also found in the building, Bailey said.

Authorities “were unable to identify or locate the subject that had been in possession of the cocaine,” Bailey said.

The Canton Fire Department charged the owners with safety code violations for allegedly having emergency doors chained, secure and inaccessible for people to exit during an emergency, Bailey said.

The bar owners were both charged with failure to require and properly check identification,  unauthorized sale of alcohol to a minor, serving alcohol to persons in noticeable intoxication, unauthorized sale of alcohol on Sunday, and serving alcohol by the bucket, Bailey said.

Also arrested, Bailey said, were: Eliseo Vasquez, who charged with possession of false ID document; Carlos DeLeon, who was charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce along with possession of alcohol by person under 21; Angelica Rico-Cordova, who was charged with serving alcohol with no permit, and Cliser Lopez Dominguez was charged with serving alcohol with no permit.

Ten other individuals were each charged with possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years old and a juvenile was charged with possession of alcohol by person under 21, Bailey said.
