Two-Vehicle Accident in South Canton Injures Two

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a two-vehicle accident shortly before noon Monday on Marietta Highway, just in front of the Dairy Queen in south Canton.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found an accident involving a white Ford Escort and a light green Honda Civic. The female driver of the Ford was complaining of abdominal pain and the 64-year-old female driver of the Honda was complaining of pain to the upper portion of her chest. Both patients were taken by ambulance to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Both lanes of the highway were blocked until the cars were cleared.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.
