The last day for residents affected by the May 20 tornado to place vegetative debris at the curb for pickup will be Friday, August 15, the Cherokee County Public Works Agency recently announced.
The county government has hired a private contractor to complete the remaining debris pickup and expects all remaining work related to the storm that struck the county to be completed by the end of August, officials say.
