
Authorities on a domestic call Thursday morning at a house in a subdivision off Bells Ferry Road near Towne Lake found marijuana plants growing inside the residence.
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responding to a domestic dispute call Thursday morning discovered an indoor marijuana operation in a house near Bells Ferry Road and Towne Lake.
Two men were arrested after deputies contacted the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad and agents obtained a search warrant for the house in the Golden Hills subdivision, said Sgt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.
Agents found 98 marijuana plants and equipment used for marijuana production in the house, Baker said, adding the value of the marijuana is $117,600.
Woodstock residents Nicholas Lyle, 29, and Michael Ammons, 35, were arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, Baker said. Ammons was also charged with battery FVA.
Lyle (below, left) was released on a $11,100 bond and Ammons (right) is being held on a $21,000 bond, Baker said.
