The driver of a dump truck was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Yellow Creek Road in northeastern Cherokee County and transported to Atlanta Medical Center.

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the accident near the Conns Creek Road intersection shortly after 7 a.m., said Tim Cavender, director of public affairs.
The dump truck apparently was "traveling northwest on Yellow Creek Road when it left the roadway, went down an embankment and landing on its side," Cavender said. "Emergency service personnel said the 53-year-old male driver had multiple fractures to his left arm and a cut to his head."
The man was in stable condition and was later taken by life flight helicopter to the hospital, Cavender said.
The cause of the wreck is being investigated by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, he said.
