Cherokee County Parks and Recreation Agency's lineup of activities for October and November includes:

Halloween Havoc Coed Softball Tournament

Date:                October 25

Registration:      October 1-17

Ages:                16 and up

Sign your team up for this zany, crazy way to celebrate Halloween. The tournament will consist of one pitch, running bases backwards and all different sorts of penalties. You will never laugh so much during a sport. Registration will be taken at the Recreation Center only.

 

Pee Wee Tennis

Date:                October 15-November 5

Time:                Wednesdays, 3-3:30 p.m.; 3:30-4 p.m.; 4-4:30 p.m.; 4:30-5 p.m.

Cost:                $25

Pee Wee Tennis is designed to teach children how to play tennis in a fun, non-threatening environment. All equipment is age appropriate and the class is taught inside on a court ¼ the size of regulation with a 28-inch high net.

 

Ballroom Dancing

Fall Hay Day

This year, CRPA and MUST Cherokee have joined forces for the fifth time to hold this day of family fun.  All toys will be donated to MUST for the upcoming Christmas Season. The festival will include a variety of fun activities for all ages, including carnival style games, a moonwalk and slide, pony and hayrides, cakewalk, prizes, food, dunking booth, mini-haunted house and more!  Children can also visit with their favorite movie and cartoon characters! CRPA is also looking for vendors interested in selling their product or promoting their business. Booth rentals are $40 and include the space, one 3x6 table and two chairs.

Welcome to the south’s largest celebration of Oktoberfest! We will visit Alpine Helen in the North Georgia Mountains for an afternoon of shopping, topped off with a visiet to Festhalle. While in the Festhalle, we will enjoy German wursts, sauerkraut, German potato salad, rye bread and dessert. The cost includes transportation, admission to Festhalle and dinner.                      

S.T.A.R.S. Bowling (Super Therapeutic and Recreation Students)
