Cherokee Pignic will be held in Canton on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18 in Heritage Park.
Both a fall festival and a Kansas City Barbeque sanctioned cookoff, Cherokee Pignic was first held last year.
Thousands are expected to attend for food, entertainment and to watch top barbeque cooks try to rack up points for the overall Kansas City BBQ competition by the Etowah River.
Admission for Friday is free and is $5 on Saturday, Children 3 and under free.
