Tickets are now on sale for the 9th Annual Gala fundraiser for Cherokee County senior citizens on Saturday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. at The Lodge at Bridge Mill. Music and dancing, live and silent auctions, and good food and fun will be on the agenda. Tickets are $50.00 per person. This year the Volunteer Aging Council recognizes Congressman Tom Price as their honoree, Canton Chief of Police Jeff Lance and his wife Karen as their Honorary Chair Couple, the Bradshaw Farms Women's Club and WLJA 101.1 FM Radio for their support of the VAC.
The Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council (VAC) is sponsoring the event and proceeds will benefit Cherokee County Senior Services' needs through the Meals on Wheels program, home repairs and emergency funding for utilities and personal needs. Co-Chairs for the VAC are Patty Baker, Clerk of Courts, and Earl Darby, Cherokee County Coroner. The Chair for the gala is Pat Bowen, partner of Get Ready For Tomorrow. All are heavily involved in senior efforts in the county.
The Lodge at Bridge Mill will be hosting the gala at 10451 Bells Ferry Road in Canton. The Lodge at Bridge Mill is an exciting new residential apartment community located in Canton for active seniors 55+.
The VAC is also seeking auction donations, event sponsors and advertisers. All contributions are tax deductible. For more information on the VAC or the March 14th Gala, please call (678) 269-6677 or visit their website at www.VAC-cherokeega.org
