"Night Out" events are planned for Thursday, October 2 to give the public a chance to make a statement against crime and enjoy community gatherings.
Drug Free Cherokee is hosting the 3rd Annual "Night Out" activities on Thursday in Canton, Woodstock and Ball Ground with law enforcement and fire departments' personnel.
The Canton event will be at the American Legion Field, 160 McClure St., from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Free food, live music, demonstrations by emergency and law enforcement professionals and more is planned.
Participating agencies in Canton include the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, Cherokee County Fire-Emergency Services and Canton Police Department.
Drug Free Cherokee and the city of Woodstock are holding “Night Out” on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm. at City Park in downtown Woodstock.
Free food, a DJ, dunk tank, moonwalk and demonstrations by the Woodstock Police Department's K9 Unit will be featured.
The Ball Ground event is Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Calvin Farmer Park, located in downtown Ball Ground.
