
The formal ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the new replacement Little River Elementary School in Woodstock was held September 9. Construction of the new 1,200-student facility, which opened in February, was funded with Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) dollars that was approved by Cherokee County voters.
