Winners of Oak Grove Elementary School's Bully Prevention Button Design Contest were recently announced. The contest was part of the bullying prevention program under the slogan of "Oak Grove, where it is COOL to be Kind!" at the school in southwestern Cherokee County. Third and fourth graders recently attended assemblies where the Etowah Character in Action/Bullying Prevention Team reenacted scenes of a bullying situation showing ways individuals witnessing a bullying situation can help. A button design contest winner was selected from each grade level and their designs will be made into buttons for each student in their grade, officials say.
