Cherokee Chamber's Principal For A Day Program is October 22

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce's Partners in Education Commitee will begin accepting applications for its "Principal For A Day" program on Friday, September 19.

The 9th Annual "Principal For A Day" program will be on Wednesday, October 22.

The deadline for submitting applications for the half-day program that gives participants the opportunity for first-hand experiences in school settings is Friday, October 10. Participants must be members in good standing in the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce.

Participants examine current educaitional issues, the changing roles of school administrators and the daily challenges facing educators, while offering principals the perspective and input of a person outside of the system.

The program will conclude with a luncheon featuring speaker Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle. The luncheon sponsor is Credit Union of Georgia.
